This is a 1/64 scale casting.


I want to say also that the pics are pretty good, but, No Kidding!! I can't stress this enough, they do not do this paint justice!!

The casting was stripped, sanded and polished slightly before any body mods or paint was done.
This is a very COOL Casting in the image of a Mid Sixties Chevy Corvair!!!!!! For those of you that are not familiar with this model of car, it was a Mid Mounted engine model!! HWs held this format, but, did put a very beefy and injected V8 engine in this casting!!!
No major body mods, but, getting these Pro Street "Meats-n-Skinnies" Racing Champion Wheels and rubber tires installed was a bit of a chore for this one!!! Some grinding to the inner fenders, precision mods to the interior and base to allow them to roll freely and lowering the centers a little!! They are leveled so that they ALL touch the surface at the same time!!!!! There is no side to side rock and not only do they good, but, ROLL GREAT too!!! The ride height is much lower than stock version now and the front air scoop just barely clears the surface!!!


The paint is ALL AIRBRUSHED (as with all my kustoms) PPG and House Of Color AUTOMOTIVE paint, PLUS Alclad CHROME Lacquer.


It started with a Urethane Black base color, then Alclad Chrome was applied fully!!!! Then, the Candy CHERRY RED was done shot on in 6 coats!! This paint combination looks incredibly like true SpectraFlame!!!!!!! I just couldn't leave it at that though.....I added a set of ChromaLusion Gold to Magenta Color Changin' FLAMES!!! These flames are SO GHOSTY!!!! Look at the pics closely and compare them all because there are some that show the flames and some that they are gone!!!
Finally, Clear was shot on in three coats making the finish WAY SMOOTH!!!! This is SO INCREDIBLY KOOL that words fail to describe what your eyes actually see in person!!!
NO KIDDING...... The SpectraFlame RED is VERY DEEP and "glowing" and the ChromaLusion Flames WILL Absolutely "MELT" into the Candy color!!!!!!!!!





The interior was coated with Plastic Adhesion Promoter, primed in Black Urethane, then shot with Alclad chrome and detailed!!! I also detailed the taillights in Alclad chrome then gave them a touch of Candy Red, plus, the headlights, door handles, front grill emblem, and ALL window trim was done with Alclad Chrome as well!!!!!!
